SGPC was founded in 1983 ago by a small group of counsellors interested in training as psychotherapists.

Over the years SGPC has developed into a larger organisation, with around 70 members who enjoy time with like minded professionals, and invites nationally known speakers to give lectures, seminars and workshops for members. SGPC encourages members to take an active and responsible role in the organisation and to be aware of the wider implications of their practice, both in the community and nationally.

Members are psychotherapists and counsellors, who practice within the Solent and West Sussex areas.
