Last year Sam Baeza presented to Solent a view that pschodynamic treatments do not work with male sex offenders. This is a response to that view by a leading psychotherapist from the Portman clinic.

Dr Heather Wood is Consultant Adult Psychotherapist and Clinical Psychologist at the Portman Clinic, Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. She has a special interest in the compulsive use of virtual sex and the related field of paedophilia and has published on these and other topics. She is a member of the British Association of Psychotherapists, a practitioner and supervisor of CAT, and also in private practice.
